Break-time Arrangments

Milk, orange or apple juice are available throughout the school and juniors are also able to have biscuits  but infant children are supplied with a piece of fruit (please see price list for costs). Children should not bring other drinks or  food (or sweets) to school for break-time as these can cause storage/spillage problems. Water is available for children to drink throughout the day.

Lunchtime

Nutritious cooked meals are available at lunchtimes. Please ask for a form if you thnik that you may be eligible for free school meals. If you are entitled, your claim will give us more money in our budget.

As an alternative to school meals, children may bring sandwiches. Please ensure that the meal and drink are in one small container (named). No glass bottles or cans please. We are unable to provide chilled storage for lunch boxes.

Warwickshire County Caterers also provide a lunch-in-a-bag or a top-up service should you find that you have run out of bread or drinks etc. Lunch-in-a-bag costs the same as a hot school dinner and the top-up is charged at individual prices.

During lunchtime Midday Supervisors look after the children. We ask that you impress upon the children the need for good behaviour at lunchtime, as at any other times of day.

To make lunchtimes more interesting, we provide toys and games for children to play with. We are always grateful for donations of outgrown toys for outside or for wet days.

Children who are failing to keep lunchtime rules may be excluded from the premises at lunchtime for a fixed period, during which time we hope to work with you to solve the problem. We have a lunchtime detention system and will inform you if your child is put into detention three times in a term. This will also result in the children missing out on one of our special activities (trips, discos etc.) Hopefully we can work together to solve any problems.
