Uniform
Uniform
We ask that all children wear the correct uniform. The PTA organises orders of sweatshirts, cardigans, fleeces, polo shirts and PE t-shirts all in the correct colour with the school logo. These items of uniform can be purchased from the school office together with book bags, rucksacks and PE bags in the appropriate house colour.

PE Kit
- White t-shirt
- Black or green short (cycling shorts are allowed if in the school colours) - children should not wear shorts under ordinary clothes, for hygiene reasons.
- Pumps - for traditional dancing (children do indoor gym/dance lessons in bare feet)
- Trainers for indoor games lessons (if the weather is wet) - outside footwear depends on the activity, but the children are not allowed to play games in ordinary shoes
- A spare pair of socks
- A drawstring bag (named) to hold kit
- Children should not wear trainers for school and keep them on for games (this is unhygienic and causes a great deal of mess in school)
Spare kit is kept for children who forget their own. PE is a National Curriculum subject - children are not allowed to 'opt out' by forgetting their kit!
Wellington Boots
These can be a nightmare in wet weather. Please name them. It also helps to supply a clothes peg with the child's name written on so that wellies can be clipped together.
Name Tapes
Please ensure that all items of clothing are labelled with your child's name. This helps to keep teachers sanity!
Lost Property
Lost property is kept in the hall extention and is disposed of at the end of term if not claimed.
Valuables
Please make sure that children keep their toys, jewellery and valuables at home. They can easily be damaged or lost. They also provide temptation for others. If children wear watches to school they must take responsibility for them themselves. They will be asked to take them off during PE lessons and we can not accept responsibility for loss or theft. It is part of children's growing independence to take responsibility for their own property.
In the interests of safety, children with pierced ears are only allowed to wear studs (one per ear!)
These can be a hazard on the PE equipment and are not allowed at the swimming baths.
