General inormation(charging/ security/ fire safety)
Policy on charging
The governors endorse the County Councils policy on charging for activities. This can be seen in the office. Legally there can only be voluntary contributions made by parents towards the cost of activities organised during the school day. No child will be excluded from taking part. However, without parents’ assistance it would be impossible for us to organise and finance outings etc. We are grateful for your continued support.
Security
A security pass system is in use. Visitors to the school must use the front entrance and sign in at the office. Please report to the office if you are coming into school for any reason, not go straight to the classrooms (except at the beginning and the end of the day, of course). Anyone without an official badge will be challenged as to his/her identity and reasons for being on the premises. This includes parents! We are sure that you will realise that these steps are taken to ensure the safety of all. We have an alert system in each classroom so staff can summon help in emergency.
Fire safety
A practice takes place once a term. Fire drills are posted in each room. We also practice coming into the building in case this is ever necessary.
Complaints procedure
We welcome parents who wish to share in the education of their children. We try to keep parents well informed about the school’s polices and the children’s progress. Please do not hesitate to use the complaints procedure (please see separate page) if you have any concerns.
